A little spin on Marshall McLuhan’s famously paraphrased “quotation.”
I don’t pretend to “get” McLuhan…I’m just using the words for illustration.
In a recent conversation about how wikis are NOT a social-computing tool (in and of themselves) I came to understand something:
The medium (the wiki) houses a collection of writing that a bunch of people opt to contribute. [...]

Hate everything about “Social Computing?” Want a tool that is completely anti-social but still allows people to collaborate without ever having to communicate with another human being?
Wikis might be the answer.
Traditionally, the basic path to how we, as human beings, get to the point of collaborating might look like this:
Discover -> Connect -> Communicate -> [...]

If you weren’t following the mayhem of E2.0 on twitter, then here’s a little background on the excitement for Lotus Connections this week. I have YET to see a single comment from an analyst or casual observer that even put MS in the same arena.

The number of communication paths can be represented by the formula where “n” is the number of people:
Communication paths = n(n-1)/2
If this is the case then what happens if you talk to youself?
Communication paths = 1(1-1)/2 = 1(0)/2 = 0/2 = 0

Sure I can…and so can you.
IBM has a tool available publically that will help when you’re trying to figure out PVU calculations.
Something to watch for when you look at “CPU counts.”
If you see something like this:
Domino Server xyz = .25 cpu’s
Sametime Server abc = .66 cpu’s
You might want to take a look and check the [...]

So many languages and I am only barely-literate in one of them.
So many people with so many good ideas and interesting views but I can only “hear the voices” of the English writing/speaking community.
Some help…Language translation plugin for Firefox called FoxLingo
Here’s an example of using the plugin to translate a blog page in Spanish to [...]

Just for fun I did a quick search on YouTube for “IBM Lotus.”
196 hits!
Everything from tips and tricks, interviews, second-life recorded sessions, product overviews on pretty much everything in the portfolio.
Ok, some of them results include videos of ducks at DisneyWorld (from Lotusphere) but in general there’s some really good content that actually pertains to Lotus [...]
